My education and experience in the food industry spans over twenty years. I studied Tourism and Hotel Management with a Specialization in the Culinary Arts in Madrid, Spain.  While the emphasis of the program was in Spanish cuisine, I also received training in Italian, French and Portuguese cooking. In 2007, I started my own catering company.  De Gira Como en Casa began as a project to provide catering for a popular Spanish music group during their tour around the country. It evolved into a company that served creative and elaborate dishes at private events of up to a hundred people. As the sole founder, owner and employee, I oversaw and carried out all aspects of the company and its activities. Simultaneously, during the past five years I worked as a chef at a public school in Madrid. My responsibilities were to develop, plan and prepare nutritious meals for 150 children and a staff of 40 adults.

Most recently, I have been working as Executive Chef with Flik International, a part of Compass USA. I was promoted to this position after one month as their Chef Manager. Included in the other positions I have held throughout my career have been Head Chef, Head Waiter and Caterer, at a variety of eating establishments.
