I began cooking at the age of fourteen, being the eldest of four boys the responsibility mostly fell on me, since both my parents worked they counted on me to have dinner ready by the time they arrived home, as well as preparing dishes for my mother’s hair clients on the weekends this was just the start. With a passion for entertainment (a former break dancer & theater art performer) I immediately found joy in all things culinary, which in and of itself is quite entertaining, though it would be years later that I would actually follow those first initial passions. “I remember having a conversation with my mother before she passed, that given the time and chance I would pursue a culinary degree and career and she said go for it you should.”

 That chance came in 2009 when due to a layoff I decided it was time for a career change and pursued this passion I had for the culinary arts and enrolled at the Art Institute of California for Culinary Arts to receive an Associates degree in Culinary Arts and Bachelors degree in Culinary Management with honors. This was a challenging time for me because up to this moment I had served in the U.S. Air Force working with missiles and bombs and various technology companies, so becoming a chef was a complete 360-degree career change.

I enjoy using the freshest ingredients available to prepare healthy meals and flavor profiles and love to teach my clients about the nutritional values of the foods we eat as well as finding new techniques with a focus on fine dining at home.
