Location: New York City | Washington DC | Los Angeles | South Florida

Terms: Independent Contractor

Compensation: Varies $50+ per hour plus gratuity

Eat In Chef's philosophy is straightforward - engineer the best business tools for chefs, build lasting relationships with relevant clients, and foster chefs' entrepreneurial spirit. Our mobile platform challenges industry barriers aspiring personal chefs face in pursuit of financial independence and culinary expression. Chefs will have access to online marketing tools that provide chef analytics to help drive business decisions such as menu development, schedule management, receiving and managing client requests, and pricing strategies.


Whether an experienced restaurant chef or a seasoned personal chef, our platform streamlines the way chefs engage with on-the-go food lovers, makes finding a personal chef easy, and empowers chefs to build a proprietary business.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create and upload exciting menus to profile
  • Procure healthy and fresh ingredients at grocery stores
  • Prepare, cook and plate memorable meals within a specified time-frame
  • Respond and accept requests within a timely manner
  • Update schedule and menus to ensure profile accuracy
  • Perform and interact with members at a high level
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of nutritional needs
  • Be aware and follow all local & state approved health-department guidelines
  • Develop food portfolio and upload food photos
  • Being flexible to receive special requests
  • Communicate proper storing and reheat instructions
  • Pass extensive background screening

Education and Experience:

  • Associate Degree or higher in Culinary Arts from accredited school
  • Culinary Arts Certificate and Culinary Arts Diploma acceptable depending on experience
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certificate
  • 7 years minimum related experience
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Experience interacting and serving professional clientele
  • Some front of the house (FOH) experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Specialization in at least 2 cuisines or more
  • Must reside in New York City, DC, LA, Fort Lauderdale, or Miami.
  • Must have reliable mode of transportation and a valid driver's license (DC, LA, FL).
